1 Sunday/Month | Starting 11/22My First Moon Circle:
a mommy and me Rosh Chodesh group
A little Jewish learning. A little movement.
A lifetime of traditions.
Join us for a joyful gathering group of Jewish mothers and their little ones (ages 0–2) as we explore the rhythms of the Hebrew calendar together. Through music, movement, storytelling, prayer, and creative play, we'll introduce our babies to the beauty of Jewish tradition while building meaningful rituals to carry into our family lives for years to come.
Rooted in Rosh Chodesh, the Jewish celebration of the new moon and the beginning of each Hebrew month, this circle is an opportunity to slow down, connect with the natural rhythms of time, and create space for Jewish learning and community in the earliest years of motherhood.
What to Expect:
Each gathering will weave together Jewish tradition, embodied learning, and the magic of watching our little ones grow.
❋ Prayer & BlessingsWe will begin with simple, meaningful Jewish prayers, blessings, and nigguns.
❋ Music & MovementSing Jewish songs, move our bodies, and explore the themes of each month through playful, developmentally appropriate movement.
❋ Jewish Stories & LearningDiscover the holidays, stories, values, and traditions of the Jewish year through storytelling and reflection.
❋ Rituals to Grow WithLearn simple, meaningful practices to bring home and share with our children as they grow.
❋ Creative KeepsakesMake a seasonal craft and capture a photo at each gathering as we build a collective scrapbook celebrating our babies' first years.
Why Rosh Chodesh?
The new moon offers a beautiful reminder that life moves in cycles. Each Hebrew month brings its own stories, holidays, themes, and opportunities for reflection. In Jewish tradition, Rosh Chodesh is a time to mark a new beginning and reconnect with the rhythms of the Jewish year.
As mothers, we're also navigating constant beginnings and transitions. My First Moon Circle invites us to experience these rhythms together—to explore Jewish tradition not just as something we teach our children, but as something we live, feel, and create together.
Growing Our Jewish Roots, Together
My First Moon Circle is about more than introducing our babies to Jewish songs and holidays. It's about creating a warm, welcoming community where mothers can deepen their own Jewish connections while beginning to build a foundation of Jewish belonging for their children.
Whether you're deeply rooted in Jewish tradition, finding your way back to it, or looking for meaningful ways to bring Judaism into your family's everyday life, there's a place for you here.
We'll learn together, sing together, celebrate the seasons, and create rituals that can become part of our family's stories for years to come.
And as our babies grow, we'll have a scrapbook full of memories of where it all began.
Come as you are. Bring your little one. Let's grow together, one moon at a time.
